Rabbits are sensitive prey animals, and new or loud stimuli like visiting children can be very stressful for them. Signs of stress include thumping, hiding, rapid breathing, or reluctance to eat. To help alleviate this, create a safe, quiet 'den' space for your rabbit that they can retreat to, away from the activity.
