This is an emergency - please take your pet to your nearest emergency veterinary clinic immediately. A bulging eye, also known as proptosis or exophthalmos, can be incredibly painful and indicates a serious underlying issue. This could be due to trauma, an abscess or tumor behind the eye, glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye), or a severe infection. Any of these conditions can lead to permanent vision loss or rupture of the eyeball if not addressed urgently. Do not attempt to push the eye back in or apply any pressure. Keep your pet calm and get them to an emergency vet right away.
