Hello! Waiting for test results for your furry friend can be a bit nerve-racking, can't it? Generally, IDEXX panels, including the Young Adult Panel with ProBNP, are processed pretty efficiently. Typically, you can expect results within 1 to 3 business days. However, this can vary slightly depending on your location and the specific logistics of your veterinary clinic.
While you’re waiting, it might be a good time to observe your pet's behavior at home to help you recognize any changes or concerns early. Keep an eye out for any unusual behaviors such as decreased appetite, lethargy, or changes in breathing. These could point to something more serious, especially with concerns that might prompt a ProBNP test, which is often used to assess heart health.
In the meantime, make sure your pet is comfortable, with plenty of access to fresh water and a cozy resting spot. If you notice any alarming symptoms like severe lethargy or difficulty breathing, it's important to contact a vet immediately.

How long should it take for IDEXX Young Adult Panel w ProBnp to come back?
I’m feeling super anxious right now and hoping someone here can help put my mind at ease. I recently took my sweet cat, Bella, to the vet for her routine check-up, and they suggested doing the IDEXX Young Adult Panel with the ProBnp test since she’s been a bit lethargic lately. I agreed, wanting to make sure she’s in tip-top shape, but now the waiting is driving me nuts. It’s been a couple of days, and my anxiety is through the roof every time I see her nap longer than usual. Can anyone chime in on how long it typically takes to get these results back? I just want to know if this timeframe is normal or if I should be pestering the vet’s office. Thanks a ton in advance for any insight you can offer—it would really mean a lot to me!
