Guinea pigs are very sensitive to heat and can easily suffer from heatstroke when temperatures rise. To keep them cool, ensure their cage is in the coolest part of your home, away from direct sunlight. Provide a fan directed at (but not directly on) their enclosure to circulate air. You can offer frozen water bottles wrapped in towels for them to lean against, or provide ceramic tiles cooled in the fridge. Ensure constant access to fresh, cool water. If you suspect heatstroke (lethargy, rapid breathing, drooling), contact your vet immediately.
