Dogs tail cut, near tip
I'm really hoping for some advice or reassurance here. This morning, while I was letting my dog, Max, play in the backyard, he somehow managed to catch his tail on something sharp. I didn’t even realize it until he came inside and I saw blood droplets on the floor. It looks like the cut is near the very tip of his tail, and it doesn't seem huge, but it’s definitely bleeding more than I’d like. I cleaned it up as best as I could with what I had on hand, but it didn’t feel like enough. He’s still wagging it, which only makes it worse, and I’m freaking out because I don’t want him to hurt it more. Has anyone dealt with this before? How serious is this, and should I be rushing him to the vet or can I manage this at home somehow? Any advice is appreciated; thank you in advance!
