Help, I don't know what to do. My heart is shattered right now, and I'm struggling to make sense of what just happened. I took Max, my 5-year-old Golden Retriever, to the vet for his routine vaccination yesterday. The whole thing seemed so regular—he was happy, playful, and full of energy before we went in. But then, a few hours later, he began breathing heavily and seemed really lethargic. I rushed him back to the vet, but before we even got there, he had passed away in my car.
