Cat licking prepuce, leaking urine

I don’t know what’s going on, but I could really use some advice. My cat, Max, has started acting pretty odd over the last couple of days. I caught him licking around his private area this morning, and then I noticed there was some urine leaking out afterward. It’s kind of freaking me out because he’s never done this before, and he seems a bit irritated or uncomfortable afterward. I’m trying not to panic, but it’s hard not to worry when I’ve had him since he was a kitten, and this is totally new territory for me. Has anyone else dealt with something like this? Do I need to rush him to the vet, or is there something I can try at home first? Any advice would be super appreciated!

That definitely sounds concerning. Cats may lick their prepuce and experience urine leakage for several reasons. This could be due to a urinary tract infection (UTI), where bacteria irritate the urinary system, causing discomfort and increased grooming.
