Can fish ingredients in Hills c/d food worsen urinary diseases?

I’m really hoping to get some advice or insight from you all because I’m kind of freaking out. My cat, Whiskers, has been dealing with urinary issues for a while now, and the vet recommended we switch to Hill’s c/d food. It’s supposed to help, but I noticed that the ingredient list includes some fish products. Now, I’ve heard mixed things about fish in cat food, especially for kitties with urinary problems. I’m worried it might actually be making his condition worse rather than better. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Should I be looking for an alternative diet for him? Any suggestions or personal experiences would really help ease my mind. Thanks in advance!

In some rare cases, fish proteins might cause an allergic reaction or intolerances, which could lead to inflammation and potentially affect urinary health. Typically, if a diet is effectively managing urinary issues, stick with it unless you notice any concerning symptoms.
